About the Role / Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Lead with deep expertise in Salesforce CPQ to lead and manage the design, development, and optimization of our Salesforce platform. You will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end CPQ implementations, working closely with cross-functional teams to streamline quoting, pricing, and billing processes, and ensuring our CPQ processes align with SaaS business models, including subscriptions, renewals, and amendments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of Salesforce CPQ solutions.
Design scalable Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ solutions, including product configuration, pricing rules, discount schedules, usage-based pricing, guided selling, and approvals.
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable, performant technical solutions across Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ, and integrated systems (ERP, Billing).
Manage and mentor a team of Salesforce developers and admins.
Drive system integration strategies with ERP, billing, and other third-party platforms.
Create and maintain technical documentation, solution design artifacts, and data models.
Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and security compliance across Salesforce solutions.
Drive best practices around DevOps (CI/CD), testing, and change management.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience on the Salesforce platform with 3+ years of Salesforce CPQ implementation and architecture experience.
Strong understanding of CPQ capabilities: product configuration, pricing engines, discounting, quoting, contracts, renewals, amendments, and subscriptions.
Deep understanding of SaaS-specific CPQ use cases such as Subscriptions, Renewals, and Amendments
Proficient in Apex, SOQL, Lightning Components, and Flow.
Experience with Salesforce integrations to ERP systems like NetSuite.
Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data modeling, and governor limits.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps (CI/CD).
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist and Salesforce Platform Developer I (or higher).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in B2B SaaS or Subscription-based business models.
Knowledge of pricing strategies, quote-to-cash (QTC) processes, and CLM tools.
Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist
Salesforce Platform Developer I or II
Experience working with CPQ APIs or custom pricing engines
Prior experience with SaaS metrics and ARR/MRR workflows
Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using MuleSoft or Boomi.
