Tekion employs close to 3,000 people across North America, Asia and Europe.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a technically grounded and detail-oriented Product Manager II to own a defined slice of the dealer experience and integrations surface within Tekion's GM Digital Retail Platform (DRP) program. This is a delivery-focused product role — you will translate GM program requirements into well-scoped, shippable capabilities that improve the dealer-facing experience and keep the AEC–GM DRP integration reliable.

You will operate at the intersection of OEM program management, platform engineering, and dealer-facing product design — partnering with GM's business and technical contacts, Tekion's engineering squad, and Dealer Success. Working within the broader GM DRP roadmap set by senior and staff product leaders, you will own your features and integration workstreams end-to-end: spec, prioritise, deliver, and iterate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Cx Experience - Support the GM DRP customer (Cx) experience — the consumer-facing digital retail journey across vehicle discovery, deal configuration, F&I presentation, and online-to-in-store handoff. Own the delivery of assigned Cx capabilities within GM DRP, ensuring the consumer flow stays consistent with GM's brand and program standards and connects cleanly to the dealer workflow. Partner with Design and GM's Cx teams to translate customer journey requirements into well-scoped, execution-ready backlog items, and iterate based on customer behaviour and conversion signals.

• Support Integration Delivery - Own the delivery of assigned integrations between Tekion's AEC platform and GM's DRP infrastructure —including inventory syndication, pricing/deal data sync, and status updates — working within the integration architecture and standards defined by senior product and engineering leads.

• Own the Scrum Team Backlog - Write precise user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specs for your engineering squad. Maintain a groomed, well-prioritised backlog that balances GM program milestones, dealer experience improvements, and platform stability.

• Contribute to Data Contracts - Partner with platform and data engineering to define and document API schemas, webhooks, and event-driven data flows for your features; help ensure data integrity across DMS, GM DRP, and third-party systems.

• Partner on GM OEM & Dealer Success Alignment - Serve as a product point of contact for GM's business and technical teams on your workstreams; translate program requirements into well-scoped deliverables and work with Dealer Success to capture and close field feedback loops.

• Track Feature Adoption & Integration Health Metrics - Define and monitor success metrics for your capabilities — dealer adoption, deal completion rates, integration reliability (uptime/latency), and error rates. Iterate on features based on data and dealer feedback.

• Support Integration Troubleshooting - Build the technical depth to help diagnose API failures, data-sync mismatches, and event-pipeline issues on your surface, and partner with engineering to drive fixes to root cause.

• Drive Cross-Functional Coordination - Coordinate across Engineering, GM OEM, Dealer Success, Design, and Platform teams to resolve requirement conflicts, manage dependencies, and keep shared delivery timelines on track; escalate trade-offs clearly.

• Support Change Management & Dealer Adoption - Partner with Dealer Success and enablement teams to build rollout plans, training assets, and adoption materials for new features and integration changes.

• Support Compliance & Certification Readiness - Ensure the features and integrations you own meet GM's compliance, security, and certification requirements, and contribute to quarterly OEM program reviews.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 3–5 years of Product Management experience In platform, enterprise SaaS, or OEM/B2B technology products. Experience owning both functional features and integration-oriented capabilities is strongly preferred.

• Working understanding of system integrations Familiar with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and event-driven data flows (Kafka or equivalent). Able to read and review API specs, identify integration gaps, and collaborate directly with engineers on resolution.

• Ability to translate OEM or enterprise requirements into specifications Demonstrated experience decomposing enterprise or OEM business needs into API contracts, data models, and well-scoped engineering deliverables.

• Data-driven mindset - Experience defining KPIs, tracking adoption and reliability metrics, and iterating on product decisions based on quantitative and qualitative signals.

• Strong stakeholder collaboration - Able to align engineering, OEM business contacts, and Dealer Success on scoped deliverables, and communicate trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong written and verbal communication - Able to write crisp PRDs, user stories, and integration specs, and communicate status and trade-offs with clarity.

• Structured problem-solving - Ability to navigate ambiguous OEM requirements, decompose complex workflows, and drive decisions in the absence of full information.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering, Business, or a related field

GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience in automotive retail technology, OEM digital programs, or dealer-facing platforms.

• Familiarity with OEM digital retail programs (GM DRP, Honda ODSX, or equivalent) or certified DMS integrations.

• Background in automotive deal desking, F&I workflows, or vehicle configuration systems.

• Exposure to OEM certification and compliance processes.

• Experience with AI/ML-powered platform capabilities or agentic integrations.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery — backlog management, sprint planning, and story-writing at pace.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN AT TEKION

This role puts you inside one of the largest automotive OEM digital retail programs in the US, with real ownership from day one. As a PM II on GM DRP, you will:

• Own dealer-facing features and integration workstreams that GM dealers use every day.

• Sit at the translation layer between GM program requirements and Tekion engineering — a high-leverage, high-visibility position.

• Build hands-on depth across dealer experience, digital retailing, and AEC–GM DRP integrations.

• Grow your OEM partnership and integration product skills in one of the most active program environments in the company, with a clear path toward senior and staff scope.
