Summary:

The Associate Principal Compensation Analyst serves as a senior individual contributor and subject-matter expert within the Compensation team. This role partners closely with People Partners, Talent, and Finance to design, evaluate, and administer Tekion’s global compensation programs. The analyst provides strategic guidance on market competitiveness, pay equity, incentive design, and compensation governance, ensuring alignment with Tekion’s total rewards philosophy and business strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex analyses to evaluate market competitiveness of base, variable, and equity compensation programs.
  • Partner with People Business Partners and business leaders to develop and model compensation proposals for new and existing roles.
  • Manage annual and ad hoc compensation cycle analytics, including merit, promotion, and bonus reviews.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and participate in compensation surveys to maintain accurate, current market data.
  • Develop compensation models, dashboards, and forecasting tools to support people and finance decision-making.
  • Advise leadership on compensation frameworks for emerging job families, new geographies, and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance standards, pay transparency laws, and global reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a compensation consultant to senior People partners, providing interpretation and recommendations for complex pay scenarios.
  • Lead cross-functional projects related to job architecture, levelling, and total rewards enablement.
  • Job Complexity: Performs highly complex analyses requiring deep technical expertise and strong business judgment. Solves problems that are broad in scope and often require a cross-functional approach.
  • Required Supervision: Operates independently with minimal direction; work is reviewed primarily for strategic alignment and policy consistency.
  • Expertise: Recognized internal expert in compensation analytics, benchmarking, and program design; influences decisions through data-driven insights and thought leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Experience with compensation within a technology or software development company is required.
  • 12+ years of experience in compensation analysis, consulting, or total rewards design.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, data modeling, and analytics; experience with Workday, Radford, or other survey platforms required.
  • Strong understanding of job architecture frameworks, market pricing, and global pay regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and storytelling skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • CCP or similar professional certification preferred

The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to the compensation listed, this position may be eligible for equity compensation, and/or a bonus or commission whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual or company performance. Base Salary Range
$133,000$185,000 USD
