We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Security Operations Engineer to join our Bangalore-based team. This role is critical to maintaining and enhancing the organization’s security posture through active monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement of security controls. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern security tools and frameworks, and a strong understanding of enterprise security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.
- Operate and maintain security tools including CrowdStrike, Email Security Gateways, SSPM, Cloud Infrastructure, Idp, and other SaaS tools.
- Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) team to investigate and remediate threats.
- Support and maintain patch management for endpoints, software, cloud, network, and servers.
- Conduct root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
- Support internal and external SOC and ISO audits by providing evidence and documentation.
- Develop and maintain security playbooks and standard operating
- Assist in vulnerability management and patching cycles.
- Work closely with IT, compliance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment with security policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Security Operations or SOC environments.
- Proficiency with CrowdStrike Falcon, Okta Identity Management, and Email Security platforms (e.g., Proofpoint, Mimecast).
- Experience with ISO 27001 audit processes and documentation.
- Strong understanding of SIEM tools, threat intelligence, and incident response workflows.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
