Snapdocs is a rapidly growing company backed by investors like Sequoia, Y Combinator, F-Prime and Tiger Global. We're an innovative team taking on the extensive mortgage market, bringing scalable and sophisticated software to a pillar of the US economy that still relies on fax machines and manila envelopes. Today, 20% of real estate transactions are processed through our platform. As we expand our product offering to serve more customers, we need to grow our team with smart, hungry, and curious people. That’s where you come in…"

As the Senior Manager you will lead our small but growing team of Data Scientists and Data Operations Specialists, doing whatever is needed to make them successful from hands-on work to planning and prioritization. Comfortable wearing many hats, you know when to lead and when to dive in to support the team. The ideal candidate is someone comfortable managing a team through greenfield projects while pouring over heaps of data to build ML and AI models from the ground up. You will build, own and execute on a long term Data Science strategy by working closely with Engineering & Product Management teams to fully integrate Data Science into our Product Strategy & roadmap. The work your team does will promote data science best practices across the company today and as we scale.

Over the past 6+ years, you have gained an expertise in aggregating and analyzing large datasets to identify behavior trends using statistics, advanced data mining techniques, and have built data models to tackle real-world problems. Through this work you have mastered diverse machine learning techniques to experiment with data sets while building models that have contributed to engineering & product development. The last two years or so, you have grown from an individual contributor to managing a team of data scientists. These days your time is focused on people, process, velocity and execution within a high growth organization. This is a hands-on role and we are looking for someone who has skills in one or more programming languages including SQL, Python or R and have used Cloud Platforms, bonus points for AWS. This is a niche role so advanced degrees in quantitative fields like Statistics, Computer Science, and Mathematics are required (PhDs are ideal). We have a small team so empathy and collaboration are vital for success.

If you are located in NY, CA, WA or MA, the salary range for this role is $204,000.00 to $276,000.00. For all other locations, the range is $178,500.00 to $241,500.00 . As a new hire, your starting salary will likely be between the 25th percentile and the midpoint of the range; however, all offers are based on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Snapdocs strongly values diversity and drive. We want to work with people of different backgrounds and different paths in life, and we trust our team to make smart decisions. This means we value independent work as well as collaboration.

Our benefits include (but are not limited to):

  • Excellent health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) with up to 4% company match
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender)
  • Flexible time off policy
  • Flexible spending account for healthcare and dependent care
  • Galileo, Modern Health, Urban Sitter, and Northstar Financial memberships
  • Life and disability insurance

Snapdocs is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status.
