Technical Support Engineer

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel

At Salt Security, our mission is to secure the digital backbone of modern organizations through industry-leading API security. Our Technical Support team is on the front lines of that mission, helping customers quickly resolve technical issues quickly and ensuring the security of their APIs in real time.

We’re looking for a Technical Support Engineer (TSE) who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about both solving technical problems and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative, cross-functional team where strong communication and partnership with internal teams are critical to success on a cutting-edge product in the cybersecurity space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver responsive, empathetic support to customers via email, chat, and video calls.
    Troubleshoot product issues, review logs, and guide customers using Salt’s dashboards and APIs.
  • Reproduce problems in lab environments and validate fixes before release.
  • Collaborate with Support, Product, and Engineering teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Spot recurring problems and contribute to knowledge articles and documentation.
    Support post-implementation success and long-term adoption.
  • Manage a high volume of tickets while meeting SLAs and updating teams on priorities.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years in Technical Support, System Administration, DevOps, or other customer-facing technical roles.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-first mindset.
  • Solid knowledge of networking concepts, HTTP protocols, and APIs.
  • Experience with troubleshooting tools like Postman or cURL.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix and basic command-line diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and exposure to Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Flexibility to work Sunday-Thursday or alternate shifts as required, including participation in an on-call rotation.

Bonus Experience (Not Required)

  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including API security, application security (AppSec), WAF/WAAP, or cloud-native security solutions
  • Industry certifications related to cloud, networking, or security (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA Security+)
  • Experience using support ticketing systems and observability/monitoring platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Datadog)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD workflows (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
