Razorpay is one of India’s leading full-stack financial technology companies, powering the way businesses move, manage, and grow money. Founded in 2014 by Harshil Mathur and Shashank Kumar with a simple vision — to simplify payments for Indian businesses — we’ve since grown into a fintech powerhouse driving India’s digital payment revolution.

Razorpay powers millions of businesses with a smarter, scalable stack that goes beyond transactions to help them truly build and grow.

From seamless checkouts to payroll automation, across India, Singapore, and Malaysia, we’ve been engineering a fintech ecosystem that’s redefining how money moves across Asia — and we’re just getting started.

Today, that ecosystem supports everyone from early-stage startups to some of India’s largest enterprises, enabling them to accept, process, and disburse payments at scale while expanding into new ways of managing money more efficiently.

Our scale speaks volumes: Razorpay processes $180+ billion in annualized transactions, powering leading businesses like Airbnb, Facebook, WhatsApp, Airtel, CRED, BookmyShow, Zomato, Swiggy, Lenskart, Mirae Asset Capital markets, Indian Oil, National Pension Scheme — and over 100 of India’s unicorns. With strong roots in India and growing operations in Southeast Asia, we are shaping the next chapter of financial technology across the region.

We are backed by global investors including GIC, Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA), Tiger Global, Ribbit Capital, Matrix Partners, MasterCard, and Salesforce Ventures, having raised over $740 million to date. Strategic acquisitions — including Ezetap (POS and offline payments), Curlec (Malaysia expansion), BillMe (digital invoicing), and POP (rewards-first UPI) — along with earlier moves in fraud prevention, payroll, and lending, have further strengthened our platform and widened our footprint across Asia.

But what truly sets Razorpay apart is our culture. At Razorpay, ownership is our oxygen — you own what you build, with no micromanagement or red tape, just the runway to make your ideas fly. Learning is a lifestyle — if you’re curious, you’ll feel at home here. People > Pedigree — we hire for attitude, hustle, and hunger more than degrees. Transparency thrives over titles — this is where interns question CXOs and CXOs say “thank you.” Guided by our values of Customer First, Autonomy & Ownership, Agility with Integrity, Transparency, Challenging the status quo and a strong belief that Razorpay grows with Razors, you’ll be part of a 3000+ strong team building not just products, but the financial infrastructure of the future.

At Razorpay Engage, we're building a transaction-led marketing stack that helps businesses maximize ROI by delivering the right offer to the right person at the right time. As Chief of Staff for Engage, you'll drive thesis building, product, and GTM strategy for new business opportunities while architecting org structures for 1-10 and 10-100 scale. We’re looking for someone not afraid to get their hands dirty and operate in the trenches.

Why This Role Exists

As Razorpay is gearing up for our IPO, our set of 0-1 businesses is critical to keep us fast-growing. Razorpay Engage is one of the fastest-growing business units at Razorpay - 150+ people strong and scaling fast. We're disrupting performance marketing by building transaction-led marketing infrastructure. Think about the opportunity Google and Facebook had in the early days of the ad stack - we're doing that for transactional marketing.

What we do: We help businesses maximize ROI on marketing spend by delivering the right offer to the right person at the right time. For example, we enable a food delivery app to send a personalized 20% cashback offer to a high-value customer immediately after their tenth order, or help a retailer trigger birthday discounts based on actual purchase behavior - not generic email blasts.

We've hit product-market fit. Now we need to scale systematically. That's where you come in - we need a trusted operator who can help build the execution muscle required to take this business to the next level.

What You'll Actually Do

This is an operator role focused on strategy and governance for the BU - you’ll build real execution skills across GTM and revenue operations.

Your charter (~70% GTM & Revenue Operations):

  • Build early-validation in terms of market size & landscape for all new business verticals within Engage
  • Partner with sales, product, and leadership teams on go-to-market execution
  • Design sales incentive structures and pricing strategies that align team behavior with business outcomes. Drive revenue prediction models and pipeline discipline with our sales team

Business Operations (~30%):

  • Establish and maintain team operating rhythms - weekly check-ins, monthly business reviews, quarterly planning cycles
  • Coordinate across business units when initiatives span multiple teams
  • Step in wherever execution needs reinforcement (recent examples: coordinating product-partnership integrations, supporting cross-BU pricing discussions)

Why pursue this role

  • This is an 18-24-month operator development program. By month 18, we'll help you identify and execute your transition charter - whether that's leading sales, product, strategy, or starting your own venture.
  • You'll have direct access to the BU head with weekly 1:1s, shadow key leadership meetings, and collaborate daily on execution decisions. You’ll have a seat at the table while strategic decisions get made and translate them into executable plans.
  • Day-to-day, you'll work closely with our sales leadership, product managers, engineering leads, and cross-functional teams across Razorpay. You'll be the connective tissue between strategy and execution.

This is an extremely high visibility role, not just within Engage but within Razorpay itself since we have several CXO sponsors rooting for the success of the charter.

Who Should Apply

Must-haves:

  • 3-5 years of experience with exposure to 0-1 or high-growth environments
  • Hard skills: TAM/SAM analysis, pipeline management, revenue operations fundamentals
  • Hunger to learn matters more than pedigree (MBA is a plus, not required)
  • Track record of bringing structure and discipline to fast-moving teams

The right mindset:

  • You're energized by building systems and seeing them work
  • You want to learn how businesses scale, not just advise on strategy
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and excited by execution challenges
  • You measure success by impact, not by title or visibility

What won't work here:

  • Looking for a purely advisory role without operational responsibility
  • Need for a perfectly defined scope before you can be effective
  • More interested in the title than the learning opportunity
Razorpay believes in and follows an equal employment opportunity policy that doesn't discriminate on gender, religion, sexual orientation, colour, nationality, age, etc. We welcome interests and applications from all groups and communities across the globe.
