Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India.
The Role Overview:
As the Category Head – Domestic Payments, you will own the P&L for the Domestic Payments business and play a pivotal role in shaping the growth strategy. You will be responsible for building, executing, and scaling the category across banking, product, and go-to-market (GTM) functions. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and execution excellence to ensure Razorpay continues to lead the domestic payments landscape.
Key Responsibilities

P&L Ownership: Manage the end-to-end P&L of the Domestic Payments business; define growth and profitability targets, and deliver against them.

Strategy & Acquiring: Partner with internal stakeholders (Banking, Risk, Compliance, Finance) to define and execute the domestic acquiring strategy.

Product Roadmap: Work closely with the Product & Tech teams to shape and prioritize the domestic payments roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer and market needs.

GTM Leadership: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to design and execute category-specific GTM plays and merchant growth initiatives.

Market Intelligence: Track competitive landscape, regulatory developments, and emerging payment trends to ensure Razorpay stays ahead of the curve.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the voice of the Domestic Payments business within the organization and drive alignment across teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience: 8–12 years of experience in payments, strategy, consulting, or category/P&L management in a high-growth environment.

Strong understanding of the domestic payments ecosystem (UPI, cards, netbanking, wallets, etc.) and regulatory frameworks.

Proven ability to own and deliver P&L outcomes.

Experience in cross-functional stakeholder management and ability to influence without direct authority.

Analytical, data-driven decision maker with an ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with a bias for action and execution.
