Our Netherlands Enterprise Account team is currently searching for a seasoned, highly strategic Enterprise Account Executive to spearhead growth and digital transformation across our premier Retail portfolio.
You will be a high-energy, dynamic sales professional with in-depth knowledge of SaaS ecosystems and value-based solution selling. In this role, you will hold strategic ownership over a targeted pod of major enterprise retail accounts in the Dutch market. You will be responsible for driving complex upsell and cross-sell initiatives, evangelizing the Salesforce platform to unlock omni-channel success, and building deep partnerships with retail business units and the C-Suite.
Overview of the Role
As a trusted digital advisor to the retail sector, you will embed yourself in your customers' businesses to deeply understand their unique challenges—from supply chain visibility and unified commerce to AI-driven personalization and loyalty.
You will collaborate with top-tier retailers to evangelize Salesforce solutions (spanning Commerce, Marketing, Data Cloud, and Einstein AI) that help them achieve their unified brand goals and blaze new trails in the retail space. You will contribute to our business as a valued, high-impact member of our Dutch Ohana. Key Responsibilities
Retail Account Planning & Strategy: Establish sophisticated, long-term account plans to achieve strategic objectives by effectively mapping out parent-subsidiary structures and identifying high-value digital transformation opportunities.
Industry Research & Deep Discovery: Uncover a retailer's current processes, friction points in the customer journey, and macro-economic challenges based on concrete retail use cases and value hypotheses.
Tailored Solutioning: Identify and craft compelling value propositions that address modern retail needs (e.g., connected customer experiences, real-time personalization, agile commerce) by leveraging the full power of the Salesforce platform.
Executive Communication: Interact with retail stakeholders in a clear, concise, and business-focused manner. You can pivot seamlessly from whiteboarding with digital product owners to presenting strategic business cases to the C-Suite (CEO, CMO, Chief Digital Officer) using modern collaboration tools.
Resource Coordination & Deal Orchestration: Act as the "General Manager" of your accounts, strategically rallying internal cross-functional resources to advance complex, high-ACV enterprise cycles.
Team Selling: Collaborate intensely with the extended account team—including Solution Engineers, Retail Industry Experts, Partners, and Customer Success—to deliver unified support and ensure long-term customer value.
Qualifications
Proven Enterprise Sales Track Record: Extensive experience as an Account Executive within the technology/SaaS industry, with a definitive, proven record of successfully navigating, developing, and closing complex enterprise deals specifically within the Retail sector (e.g., fashion, grocery, e-commerce, or multinational retail brands).
Salesforce Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Salesforce solutions and an understanding of how cloud technology, data strategies (Data Cloud), and AI transform the retail customer experience is highly preferred.
C-Suite Gravitas: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to command a room and influence executive-level business decision-makers.
Strategic Negotiation: Elite negotiation and closing skills, with a track record of driving large-scale digital transformations and expanding established enterprise relationships.
