Role Overview

Tableau, a Salesforce company, is looking for a Director of Product Management to join our Tableau Cloud & Server AI product team. In this individual contributor role, you'll be at the forefront of building AI-powered data experiences — shaping the future of how people interact with data through conversational AI and intelligent analytics. You'll own products from concept to launch, working closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to deliver world-class experiences.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a product leader who thrives in fast-moving environments, thinks big, and knows how to get things done.

What You'll Do

  • Define and drive product requirements — Write clear, compelling PRDs that align cross-functional teams and move products from 0 to 1

  • Lead with data and AI — Define and manage AI evaluations (Evals) to measure quality and product readiness. Leverage data to make decisions about the feature.

  • Partner on GTM — Collaborate with Marketing on go-to-market messaging, positioning, and launch planning

  • Engage customers and field teams — Present product vision and roadmap to customers and partner with account teams to gather feedback and drive adoption

  • Run effective scrum ceremonies — Facilitate sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives to keep engineering teams unblocked and moving fast

  • Champion the customer — Synthesize insights from customers, partners, and market research to inform product priorities

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record of shipping impactful products

  • Deep experience in AI, particularly conversational AI and/or large language models (LLMs)

  • Proven ability to take products from 0 to 1 — you've built new products in ambiguous spaces and know how to navigate the process

  • Strong go-to-market instincts — you understand positioning, messaging, and what it takes to launch successfully

  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills — you build trust and alignment with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and executives

  • Background in data analytics, business intelligence, or a data-adjacent domain

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior software development experience — you can go deep with engineering teams and earn their respect

  • Experience writing or evaluating AI/ML model outputs (Evals, RLHF, red-teaming, etc.)

  • Familiarity with the Tableau or broader Salesforce ecosystem

Why Tableau + Salesforce

  • Work on one of the most recognized and loved data platforms in the world

  • Be part of a team defining the next generation of AI-powered analytics

  • Collaborate with world-class engineers, designers, researchers, and data scientists

  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and career growth opportunities
