Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Analyst to join our finance team in São Paulo. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial data across multiple reporting frameworks (BRGAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP). You will play a lead role in the monthly closing process, with a specific focus on complex account reconciliations, payroll accounting, and leveraging data visualization tools to provide actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-GAAP Reporting: Perform complex accounting activities, ensuring full compliance and reconciliation between BRGAAP (CPC), IFRS, and US GAAP.
- Account Reconciliations: Perform and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations (Cash, Intercompany, Accruals, and Taxes). Ensure all reconciling items are investigated and resolved in a timely manner, maintaining a strong internal control environment.
- Payroll Accounting: Own the end-to-end accounting process for payroll, including the analysis of provisions, benefits, taxes (INSS, FGTS, IRRF), and labor-related accruals.
- Financial Closing: Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, ensuring all deadlines are met with high accuracy.
- Data Analytics: Utilize Tableau (or similar BI tools) to transform raw financial data into meaningful dashboards and reports for senior management.
- Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explaining complex accounting treatments.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate manual reconciliations and improve the efficiency of the local accounting cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Solid experience in senior-level accounting roles within multinational environments.
- GAAP Expertise: Proven knowledge of the differences between Local GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP.
- Reconciliation Mastery: Advanced experience in balance sheet substantiation and resolving discrepancies in a multi-currency environment.
- Payroll Knowledge: Deep understanding of Brazilian labor laws and their respective accounting impacts.
- Languages: Advanced/Fluent English is required for daily interaction with global teams and systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data visualization tools (specifically Tableau).
