Our Business Development Representative (BDR) team is part of our wider Sales Business in LATAM, focusing on generating new business and whitespace pipeline through prospecting outbound opportunities across Commercial and Enterprise segments, with the ultimate goal of closed won business. Sales Development is the foundation of our sales organization where new business opportunities come to life. Within the Business Development Representative (BDR) role, we support outbound sales teams by assisting them through strategic prospecting efforts and extensive account research. BDRs consistently make a tangible impact in the Sales Development Organization by generating millions of dollars of new business pipeline each year.
In this role, you won't just open doors — you'll walk through them alongside the account team. BDRs at Salesforce LATAM are active partners in progressing opportunities through the sales cycle, not just creating initial pipeline. You'll develop consultative selling skills and strategic account planning capabilities that set the foundation for a long-term sales career.
Additionally, BDRs are enrolled in an intensive sales training program with the purpose of providing professionals with the fundamental skills necessary to achieve a successful sales career at Salesforce.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Generate new business pipeline primarily through prospecting outbound opportunities across Commercial and Enterprise accounts in LATAM
Nurture and help progress early-stage opportunities alongside Account Executives — not just create pipeline, but advance it
Gain interest through outbound cold calling across a set of existing Salesforce customers and breaking into net new logos in assigned territory
Develop and execute strategic prospecting plans by account, vertical, and persona
Partner with core sellers to identify and source net new pipeline and assist by researching lines of business and key personas
Align with internal account teams to coordinate entry strategy into new accounts
Identify key decision makers within new accounts using a consultative selling approach
Maintain CRM hygiene and keep Salesforce updated with activity, notes, and opportunity progress
Meet and exceed activity metrics, Connects, and Meetings Set targets
Preferred Qualifications
Conversational English fluency (required)
3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
Comfortable with outbound cold calling — this is a core part of the role, and you enjoy the challenge
Experience with consultative selling — you listen actively, identify business pain, and connect value
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic prospecting plans, not just high-volume outreach
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across multiple parts of the organization
Experience researching, account planning, prospecting, and cold calling into a large list of new and existing accounts across multiple verticals
Proven track record of achieving sales metrics and consistent quota attainment
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on core competencies (e.g. extracurricular leadership, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
Desirable: hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, and/or Lusha
