Role Overview
As Solution Engineer (Lead) for Banking, you are a trusted advisor and technical leader in our Financial Services team for the German region. You drive the full sales cycle from discovery to close, by combining deep banking expertise with Salesforce's latest AI capabilities and drive consumption of AI Services after sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead and orchestrate the solution design across extended teams and subject matter experts in complex sales cycles
- Architect agentic AI solutions, design autonomous agents that automate front-, middle-, and back-office banking processes
- Deeply understand client challenges in banking and translate them into tailored Salesforce solutions, including architecture, use cases, and implementation roadmaps
- Deliver compelling demos and executive presentations, turning complex AI concepts into clear business value
- Lead proof-of-concept projects to validate and demonstrate proposed solutions
- Collaborate with sales on lead qualification, RFP responses, and deal strategy
- Mentor junior SEs and contribute to best practices, enablement, and GTM strategy
- Act as a thought leader in the banking community, industry events, customer advisory boards and executive briefings

Required Qualifications
- Fluency in German and English
- 7+ years of experience in solution engineering, consulting, or enterprise software delivery
- Deep banking expertise: Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Lending, and/or regulatory frameworks in the D(ACH) market
- Strong understanding of agentic AI, LLMs, and related technologies, ideally including Agentforce or comparable platforms
- Familiarity with consumption-based and seat-based business models and the ability to build ROI frameworks around usage-based AI deployments
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence at C-level
- Proven track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Strong communicator: presentations, written proposals, and executive storytelling
- Loves to be the first to know something and to understand why and how things happen
- Demonstrated time management and prioritization in dynamic team environments
- Ability to work as part of a team to tackle problems in dynamic, energising environments
- Good at explaining ideas and finding ways to keep people’s attention
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the DACH region
Nice to Have
- Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
- Prior involvement in digital transformation programs at a bank or financial institution
