Salesforce/Agentforce Developer (Software Engineering, MTS)
DET IT is looking for a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) to join our Salesforce Engineering team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting Salesforce solutions with growing emphasis on Agentforce and Data Cloud capabilities. The ideal candidate brings solid hands-on experience in Salesforce development across core clouds, along with working knowledge of Agentforce (AI-driven automation), prompt templates, and Data Cloud configurations. This role will contribute to building scalable solutions, improving user experience, and enabling intelligent automation across business processes.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce applications across Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud
Build and customize solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and standard platform features
Configure and support Agentforce capabilities, including prompt templates, agent actions, and flow-based automation
Work with Data Cloud components such as segments, calculated insights, and data activation (as needed)
Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools
Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions
Support data migrations, data quality improvements, and large data volume handling
Participate in testing, deployment, and production support activities
Follow coding standards, CI/CD processes, and Salesforce best practices
Troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance
Required Skills
5+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development
Strong knowledge of Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
Experience with Salesforce core clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud)
Working knowledge or exposure to Agentforce (prompt templates, agent actions, flows)
Exposure to Salesforce Data Cloud concepts (segments, data modeling, insights)
Experience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs
Understanding of Salesforce security model and data model
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, or similar) and version control (Git)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Desired Skills
Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I, Administrator, or related)
Experience with CPQ, FSL, or Marketing Cloud
Exposure to event-driven architectures (Platform Events, CDC)
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS
Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and middleware (MuleSoft, Informatica, etc.)
Interest in AI-driven automation and evolving Salesforce capabilities
