Job Details:
An AI Specialist in the Global Public Sector is an expert in understanding Salesforce Artificial Intelligence solutions and responsible for designing, architecting, and demonstrating the next generation of Agentic AI solutions. The AI Specialist will leverage the Salesforce platform and the broader AI ecosystem to modernize government, education, and non-profit services, leveraging AI in the flow of work to help with simple automation to autonomous actions. In addition, the role involves leveraging data in both unstructured and structured formats to support Generative AI and Predictive AI features that support use cases across the wide range of services offered by Public Sector Customers.
A critical component of this role is navigating the intersection of innovation and regulation. The AI Specialist will ensure the ethical use of AI via Salesforce capabilities and approaches including the Einstein Trust Layer and Agentforce Observability adhering to strict global compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, IL4/5/6, GDPR). As a trusted advisor, the AI Specialist will guide customers and agency leaders in shaping AI strategies that promote efficiency, transparency, and equitable outcomes for all citizens.
Responsibilities:
Architect Agentic Workflows: Design and demonstrate Employee, Service, and other types of Agentforce Agents that can reason, orchestrate multi-step tasks, and execute actions across disparate public sector systems.
Data Foundation & Grounding: Demonstrate and collaborate with customers to identify foundational data-centric solutions using the Salesforce platform and Salesforce Data Cloud to enable Agentic and general Salesforce AI solutions that are grounded in relevant data to increase trust and reduce inaccuracies and hallucinations.
Trust & Governance Leadership: Serve as an expert on trust and governance of AI on the Salesforce platform, including the use of the Einstein Trust Layer, Session Tracing Data Model (STDM), and Data Cloud for AI governance, management, and observation.
AI Workshops & Prototyping: Lead "Build with AI" workshops and develop high-impact Proofs of Concept (POCs) that show how GenAI can solve specific agency pain points, such as benefits eligibility or emergency response routing.
Technical Sales Authority: Serve as the technical lead for strategic RFPs, ensuring that AI solutions are architecturally sound, scalable, and integrated with existing government legacy systems.
Product Feedback Loop: Collaborate directly with Salesforce Product Engineering to relay field requirements, ensuring Public Sector needs for feature parity are prioritized in the product roadmap.
Core Skills & Requirements:
Educational Foundation: B.S. computer, engineering, mathematical, or equivalent technical experience in implementation or technical pre-sales.
Sales Engineering Excellence: 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, focusing on SaaS, Cloud, or Enterprise AI.
AI/ML & LLM Mastery: Deep understanding and experience in multiple LLM models and integration via MCP and APIs with LLMs with 3rd party solutions. Understands how to integrate predictive and generative models in business processes and workflows. Can recommend the appropriate technique and model for the workflow in question.
Prompt Engineering & Orchestration: Proficiency in advanced prompt engineering techniques (Chain-of-Thought, ReAct) and experience with AI orchestration frameworks.
Data Architecture: Strong understanding of vector databases, semantic search, and how unstructured data, images, and multi-modal solutions can be utilized in RAG-based solutions.
Public Sector Acumen: Familiarity with the ethical implications of Generative AI in government, including bias mitigation and the "Right to Explanation" for automated decisions.
Communication Mastery: Ability to pivot from a deep-dive technical discussion with developers to a high-level strategic vision presentation for a C-Suite audience.
Bonus Points:
Salesforce Ecosystem: Current Salesforce AI Specialist Certification (or equivalent) and experience with Data Cloud or MuleSoft. Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Service Cloud, and Salesforce App Builder certifications are highly desirable.
Development Skills: Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Node.js, Ruby, etc and familiarity with libraries like LangChain, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
Industry Standards: Knowledge of government-specific security frameworks (FedRAMP, HIPAA, StateRAMP).
Visual Analytics: Experience using Tableau or CRM Analytics to visualize AI-driven insights and predictive trends.
