About the Role:

As a Lead Solution Engineer, focusing on Revenue Cloud solutions, you’ll be the trusted strategic advisor for our most complex customers. You will lead pre-sales engagements and drive digital transformation across subscription-based businesses, manufacturing, high-tech, media, and professional services sectors in the ANZ market.

You’ll work with cutting-edge technology including tools for automating pricing and quoting (CPQ), billing, and financial reporting (Revenue Recognition), as well as all the latest in agentic AI for revenue operations.
You'll work closely with Account Executives, customers, and cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and customer success. A Note on Experience: While deep Solution Engineering experience is valued, we highly encourage candidates from backgrounds in Management Consulting, Finance Transformation, Product Management (SaaS), or ERP Implementation with strong business acumen and a passion for technology to apply. Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Leadership
Lead complex Revenue Cloud sales cycles from discovery through to close, acting as the primary technical advisor
Develop and deliver innovative, custom solutions that address customer business requirements across subscription businesses, manufacturing, high-tech, telecommunications, media, professional services, and other industries with complex pricing and billing needs
Coordinate the entire solution cycle through close collaboration with Sales, Product, Finance Solutions, Customer Success, and Partner teams
Present compelling Revenue Cloud solutions to audiences ranging from RevOps teams and IT architects through to CFOs and C-level executives
Conduct collaborative discovery workshops to understand customer business challenges, current Quote-to-Cash processes, revenue recognition requirements, and billing complexities
Design and demonstrate proof-of-concept solutions showcasing Revenue Cloud capabilities including advanced CPQ configurations, complex pricing rules, subscription management, usage-based billing, and revenue recognition automation
Technical Expertise
Translate complex customer challenges into secure, scalable Revenue Cloud architectural solutions spanning the entire Quote-to-Cash lifecycle
Provide deep technical guidance on CPQ, Billing, Revenue Recognition, and integration patterns with ERP, payment gateways, tax engines, and financial systems
Champion Revenue Cloud best practices for product catalog design, pricing waterfall configuration, quote-to-order automation, billing and invoicing workflows, and revenue recognition policies
Articulate solutions for complex scenarios including multi-currency, multi-entity, contract amendments, renewals, co-terming, proration, usage-based pricing, and milestone billing
Stay current with Revenue Cloud product roadmap and new capabilities (including Quoting Agent and Einstein features), translating these into customer value propositions
Strategic Partnership
Serve as trusted advisor to C-level finance and operations executives, understanding their revenue models, financial compliance requirements, competitive landscape, and growth strategies.
Articulate the business value and quantifiable ROI for modernising revenue operations, linking technology implementation directly to financial outcomes.
Act as the critical bridge between Sales, Finance, and IT stakeholders translating complex business requirements into scalable technology architectures.
Collaborate with System Integrator partners to design comprehensive implementation approaches
Contribute to the broader ANZ Revenue Cloud practice through knowledge sharing, best practice development, and mentoring of junior SEs
Build deep industry expertise in subscription economy, SaaS, manufacturing, telecommunications, media, and other sectors relevant to the ANZ market

Required Experience & Skills:
Essential
Deep understanding of the entire Revenue Operations, Quote-to-Cash processes, pricing strategies, subscription management, billing cycles, and revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15)
6-8+ years of experience in enterprise software sales engineering, revenue operations consulting, Quote-to-Cash implementations, or related technical pre-sales roles
3-5+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud products (CPQ, Billing, and/or Revenue Recognition) or similar Quote-to-Cash platforms
Strong technical knowledge of CPQ architecture including product/price books, quote line editor, pricing rules, approval workflows, contract amendments, renewals, and quote generation
Understanding of billing operations including invoice generation, payment collection, revenue schedules, collections, and dunning processes
Proven track record of successfully leading complex technical sales cycles and closing enterprise deals
Exceptional presentation and communication skills with ability to engage audiences from technical practitioners to CFO and executive leadership
Strong business acumen with ability to understand customer revenue models, business cases, and financial ROI
Experience working in or selling into the ANZ market with understanding of local business practices, financial compliance, and regulatory requirements
Ability to work collaboratively in dynamic, fast-paced team environments
Proven time management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities
Preferred
Salesforce CPQ Specialist and/or Revenue Cloud Consultant Certifications
Experience with Salesforce Billing and Revenue Recognition modules
Knowledge of Financial Systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics) and integration patterns
Understanding of MuleSoft and API-based integrations for Quote-to-Cash processes
Experience with adjacent Salesforce clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Order Management, Industries)
Knowledge of subscription billing platforms (Zuora, Chargebee, Stripe Billing) and ability to articulate Salesforce differentiation
Experience with complex pricing scenarios: usage-based pricing, tiered pricing, volume discounting, partner pricing, channel pricing
Understanding of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 / IFRS 15) and compliance requirements
Strong technical writing skills for functional specifications and architectural documentation
Experience in manufacturing, high-tech, telecommunications, media, SaaS, or professional services industries
Familiarity with AI-powered features including Quoting Agent and Einstein for Revenue Cloud
