The Manager, Sponsorship Marketing Operations will contribute operationally to drive revenue to the Salesforce Marketing organization through strategic sponsorships between Salesforce and ecosystem partners. Sponsorships will run across the Salesforce marketing portfolio of offerings, including but not limited to in person and digital events, content, media and more. This position provides valuable operational coordination and execution and works closely with internal and external stakeholders, sponsors, and third-party agencies to create, support, and execute world-class sponsorships that will further position Salesforce as a leader in the industry.
The Sponsorship Marketing Manager will lead specific in-person events, support program needs, and own operational tasks and programs for the sponsorship marketing team. The successful candidate will work with internal and external teams to create and scale processes that optimize the sponsorship effort globally ensuring an outstanding sponsor and stakeholder experience. This role is the first impression of the sponsorship team, a critical position, and to thrive one must have passion and expertise in project management and a deep interest in doing everything possible to ensure sponsors are wildly successful.
The Sponsorship Marketing Manager must be a master at critical thinking, an exceptional communicator (verbal and written), detail-obsessed, have the confidence to be resourceful on a daily basis, able to prioritize shifting tasks as needed, and the can-do spirit to repeatedly strategize and execute flawlessly. This role is on a team that is dedicated to sponsor success, is fast-paced, and entrepreneurial in an always challenging environment.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and scale policies and processes that deliver a standardized global sponsorship experience, working across diverse events, timezones and stakeholders
Lead the Sponsorship Operations team for multiple regional events
Event Lead on Tier 1 World Tour events - oversee all aspects of Sponsorship event responsibilities
Work across a diverse set of projects/events simultaneously, planning and executing assignments that are on strategy, on time and flawlessly executed
Establish effective relationships and workflows across across multiple internal teams and external agencies
Support and enable the Sponsorship Marketing Sales team as main POC for all event specifics from ideation to completion (pre thru post event)
Oversee event related responsibilities from start to finish, including but not limited to: asset creation, pricing, creating sales & sponsor enablement tools, pre-event asset execution, on-site staffing/logistics, and post-event metrics and reporting
Ideate and unearth new and existing assets across the marketing portfolio that align with Salesforce Sponsorship strategy and B2B & B2C events
Take responsibility for developing operational tools and processes to support the business
Assist with challenging internal and external requests or issue escalations as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
6+ years relevant work experience (sponsorship fulfillment, account management, project management, B2B conference or tradeshow planning, or similar field)
Meticulous organizational abilities to coordinate a number of activities in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Self-motivated individual capable of working in a face-paced, start-up environment
Proven experience effectively working with teams across multiple departments, time zones, and functions
Extreme attention to detail and project management experience
Working knowledge of the Salesforce partner ecosystem
Demonstrated ability to present to customers & leadership and overall strong presentation building skills
Demonstrated ability to build consensus across diverse teams
