Description

Are you interested in generating business impact for one of Salesforce's fastest growing business units? The Small and Medium Business (SMB) Operating Unit is at the forefront of driving sustainable growth for years to come, as well as is at the intersection of helping future growth businesses drive efficiency and pioneering artificial intelligence to help deliver the most for their customers.

The US and Canada SMB Field Marketing organization is seeking a highly driven Field Marketing Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our scaled events and community driven programs targeting SMB customers and prospects. This role will develop a comprehensive annual events plan that drives education, community engagement first and foremost, but also looks to drive pipeline impact and progression at scale.

The ideal candidate blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, thrives in complex and matrixed environments, and knows how to build programs that resonate with hands-on practitioners and subject-matter experts across the SMB segment. Salesforce’s product offerings are quickly evolving to bring more AI capabilities to our customers and this role will play a critical part in how we bring these offerings to reality via in-person and virtual event modalities. This role reports to the Senior Director, NAMER SMB Field Marketing & Global Campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and own the end-to-end scaled events strategy for SMB, including program vision, goals, annual roadmap, and execution model from event demand generation, on-site execution, to post-event follow-up.
  • Design and execute educational workshops, hands-on training sessions, and practitioner-focused events that provide value to technical and functional users while supporting pipeline generation and progression.
  • Develop a repeatable and scalable events framework that reaches large audiences efficiently while maintaining high-quality attendee experiences. Reaching and informing our customers is critical, but informing and enabling our internal stakeholders is equally important.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders—including Marketing, Sales, Solution Engineering, Customer Success, Training, etc. —to align on content, target audiences, event goals, and measurement.
  • Own program management from concept to completion: event design, project planning, partner coordination, promotion, enablement, budget tracking, onsite/virtual execution, and post-event reporting.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment in a highly matrixed environment, ensuring events support broader regional and segment priorities.
  • Stay close to the evolving needs of SMB customers, adapting programming quickly to reflect business and product priorities, and market dynamics.
  • Champion best practices for scaled field events and help evolve our broader field marketing event motions.
  • Budget management: Ensure optimal management of the marketing budget through careful prioritization of efforts.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 4+ years of Event Marketing, Demand Generation, Digital Marketing experience, preferably within a B2B Tech Marketing capacity
  • Event Management Expertise: Demonstrated track record of end-to-end event management excellence, including building detailed project plans, organizational skills, managing complex logistics, coordinating cross-functional contributors, and delivering high-quality events on time and within budget.
  • Geographic and Segment Knowledge: Deep understanding of the key markets across the US and Canada, and market-specific dynamics.

  • Business Acumen: Ability to drive impact based on a deep understanding of market trends, business priorities, and corporate strategy (global and local). Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Data Fluency: Excellent analytical skills and comfortable using data (registration and attendee reporting, pipeline reports, conversion metrics, ROI calculations) to influence strategic decisions and future planning and decision making.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate marketing strategy to C-level sales executives and manage complex stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaboration: Natural collaborator and relationship builder who thrives in a matrix organization, working effectively across different disciplines and cultures.
