Customer Support Intern (Application Performance)

Location: Hybrid, Manchester

As a Customer Support Intern in our Performance Pillar, you’ll focus on supporting OneStream’s customers performance by helping our customers maintain optimal system efficiency. This role is ideal for candidates interested in learning about SaaS cloud performance, customer support operations, and diagnostic tools in a high-growth tech environment.

This Internship requires the successful individual to live within easy commutable distance to our Manchester office in the City Centre.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in the OneStream platform with a focus on application performance.
  • Use ServiceNow to track and manage customer support cases.
  • Work with tools such as Curate (AI), Dynatrace and Azure to identify and troubleshoot customer application performance issues.
  • Learn how to effectively support, engage, and communicate with OneStream customers through support cases.
  • Assist with troubleshooting SQL queries to diagnose performance issues.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve support cases related to application performance.
  • Author knowledge base articles focused on application performance best practices and troubleshooting tips.
  • Submit customer environment resize requests to optimize performance.
  • Support management with strategic projects related to customer support and performance optimization.
  • Update/review Confluence documentation for any procedural changes.
  • Submit bug reports to the OneStream Product Development Team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn the essentials of Microsoft Azure and support process.
  • Gain hands-on experience working with customers, troubleshooting issues, and developing effective communication skills.
  • Support the team in handling challenging and urgent cases, contributing to timely and effective solutions.
  • Assist in enhancing our knowledge base and organizing case categories to streamline data collection and reporting.
  • Participate in a special intern project to explore an area for improvement within the Customer Support team.

Required Education

  • In pursuit of a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Studying towards a degree in Information Technology (Computer Science, Computing or Information Systems).
  • Undergraduate students preferred (graduating between Winter 2026 and Spring 2027).
  • Previous internship experience is nice to have but not necessarily required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); some exposure to SQL is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • A team-oriented mindset.
  • Eagerness to learn.

Travel

  • 1 day a week in the Manchester office (Thursday), the rest of the time is remote, home based.
