ABOUT THE JOB

OneStream Software is a hyper-growth SaaS company focused on financial and operational data analytics for the largest companies in the world. We host our software on the Microsoft Azure cloud in many regions around the world using a variety of Azure technologies. This position focuses on the operations of our customer environments including but not limited to provisioning, maintaining, performance monitoring/management, and disaster recovery. In addition to normal environment management, this role is an escalation point for customer support requests. In this role you are expected to prioritize uptime, security, and performance of the customers' environment over all other activities. You also must be able to work well individually as well as part of a team to ensure tasks are managed in the most efficient manner enabling seamless integration of operations throughout various locations and time zones. RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities:

  • Customer environment implementation and software configuration.
  • Perform environment updates and software upgrades.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Monitor customer environments through Azure alerts and Operations Management Suite.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform on-call duties.

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
  • Architect, design and implement solutions with Azure Resource Manager (ARM).
  • Update technical documentation, workflows, and knowledge-based articles.
  • Identify opportunities for security and improvement.
  • Implement changes for compliance certification as needed.
  • Support internal infrastructure projects as needed.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education and Experience

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • AZ900 highly desired, or actively working towards Azure certification.
  • 2+ years network engineering and infrastructure experience.
  • Proven experience as help desk technician or similar customer service role.
  • Experience with any of the following technologies, tools, and concepts:
    • Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) preferred but not required.
    • Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2/2016, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory.
    • Automating processes using PowerShell, Azure PowerShell Modules, REST APIs, JSON or ARM Templates.
    • Identity management using Azure AD, Okta, OpenID Connect, SAML.
    • Working knowledge of various cryptographic algorithms and protocols (IPSec, TLS, SSH, AES).
    • Network and application security device configuration and management (Cisco, Barracuda, Palo Alto, SonicWall).

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience working for a cloud service provider (CSP) or managed service provider (MSP).
  • Identity management using Azure AD, Okta, SAML, PingFederate.
  • Hands-on experience with orchestration tools (Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef/Puppet, Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
  • Good knowledge of IT Compliance, policy development, and implementation.
