Responsibilities

Identify potential internal and external risks (operational, legal, financial, reputational). Develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Create or strengthen internal controls. Maintain a risk matrix.
Ensure Odoo’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., labor laws, civil protection, liability, tax compliance, anti-corruption, data protection). Proactively monitor regulatory changes. Communicate with external regulators or auditors when necessary.
Investigations / Audits: Work closely with other Odoo departments to assess how certain matters are being handled, identify risks or areas for improvement, and from there, recommend and, when applicable, define internal policies.
Report to management on key risks and provide recommendations to reduce risk exposure.

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance or similar.
3+ years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
Strong knowledge of Mexican legislation: fiscal, labor, privacy/data protection.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Strategic mindset with strong ethical values.
English Advanced.

Nice to have

Certifications in compliance or risk management (e.g. ISO 31000, COSO, SOX).
Experience in tech or software companies.
Experience with data privacy or information security frameworks.
