We're building for the long term, so we provide the tools you need, processes you can rely on, and a balanced work environment to help you do work you're proud of.
Sound like your kind of place? Let's build together.
Your impact
Mollie is growing, and soon doubling in size. How we operate as a company matters more now than it ever has. As Head of Ways of Working, you will own building the next version of the operating model in collaboration with leadership at Mollie and the Extended Leadership team (ELT). That means defining how domains and teams are structured, how they communicate, how they share information, and how they hold themselves to a consistent standard.
This is not a process role. It is a leadership role with real influence across the entire company. Working closely with the VP People and the management team, you will refresh and maintain the operating model, drive the rollout of the Mollie Playbook across all domains, and build the information architecture that makes it possible for every employee to find what they need, from product release status to Domain and team size and scope to individual team members information and more. You will lead a small, permanent team within the People domain and work closely with the extended leadership team of the company. Your work will shape how current Mollies operate day to day and how hundreds of new colleagues are onboarded into our ways of working. If you care about how companies run at their best and want to build something that has a direct, visible impact on how over 1,800 people work together, this is the role.
What you'll ship
Own the next version of the operating model with leadership, from foundational theory to practical application, and lead the Mollie Playbook rollout across all domains so routines, communication standards, and ways of working become daily practice
Drive a targeted refresh of the operating model basics, including group roles within domains, team placement, and expectations on accountable leads
Build Mollie's information architecture with the data team, so employees can navigate the organisation, find up-to-date information, and get accurate answers through AI-enabled tools
Lead the implementation of ways of working with GoCardless, educating new colleagues on how Mollie operates while incorporating what they do well
Run workshops with the MT and ELT to align on key decisions, build buy-in, and resolve the most debated topics
Build and lead a small team of program managers driving rollout, content, training, and adoption across the company
-
Establish a feedback loop that keeps the operating model current, and own change management across the organization, communicating proactively to minimize misinformation and acting as the go-to contact for employee feedback
What you'll bring
8+ years of operational experience in a scaling technology or fintech company, including 3+ years in a managerial role. You've seen what works and what breaks as organisations grow past a few hundred people
Strong judgment on how businesses should run, with clear opinions on team structure, communication, and routines, backed by a track record, and the standing and credibility to drive change with senior stakeholders so domain leads and ELT take your input seriously
Experience designing or improving operating models, ways of working, or organisational effectiveness, whether in a dedicated role or as part of a broader leadership position
Comfort working across both the People/HR and product/engineering sides of a company, with credibility in each
A practical understanding of how AI and data architecture can improve information access. You don't need to be technical, but you need to know what's possible
-
Fluency in English is required; experience with post-merger integration of ways of working is a strong plus
