About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Operations Team Lead to join our People team and guide our regional People Ops function during an exciting phase of growth and transformation. While reporting to the Director of Employee Experience, this role is essential to support our market expansion.
You’ll lead a geographically distributed team that supports employees across multiple European countries, with a strong strategic & operational base in Amsterdam. Your focus will be on scaling our operations efficiently through automation, process improvement, and intuitive self-service tools; so your team can spend more time on high impact, complex people topics to give the best employee experience.
You’ll also play a key role in ensuring excellence in vendor management and people data reporting, helping us work smarter and scale sustainably.
What You’ll be doing
Process & System Optimisation
Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation in people processes across the employee lifecycle (onboarding to offboarding)
Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g. HRBPs, TA, Payroll, IT, Finance, Legal, Security, Risk & Compliance) to streamline cross-functional workflows
Own and optimise the use of our HRIS and tooling stack HiBob, Ashby, CultureAmp
Team Leadership & Coaching
Lead and coach a small but mighty People Ops team of 5 working across Europe
Foster a culture of ownership, clarity, and customer service excellence
Support the team in managing complex, cross-border queries and cases
Data Excellence & Analytics
Ensure people data is clean, reliable, and actionable
Build and maintain reporting dashboards and metrics (e.g. headcount, attrition, service levels, case types)
Partner with People leadership to provide insights that inform decision-making including monitoring service metrics, employee satisfaction, and case volume trends
Vendor Management
Own relationships with key HR vendors (e.g. background checks, benefits providers)
Track vendor performance and ensure service levels, cost-efficiency, and compliance
Lead vendor evaluations, onboarding, and contract renewals as needed
Self-Service & Knowledge Management
Drive the development and adoption of best in class self-service materials and employee knowledge bases
Create scalable FAQs, guides, and templates that reduce repetitive questions and empower employees and managers
Regional Support & Compliance
Ensure local compliance with employment practices across key European markets (NL, DE, FR, UK, BE, PT, IT, SE, PL etc.)

Work with Legal and external advisors to manage changes or challenges in employment law
What you’ll bring
Experience in leading/ scaling Operations or Shared Services teams in a multi-country environment within dynamic environments
Love for operational efficiency and have proven experience rolling out automations, workflows, or self-service systems
Confidence working with HR systems integrations and workflows
Strong communication skills and ability to work in distributed, async teams
Ability to zoom in and out of operating in both strategic and hands-on capacities
Confidence managing and analysing HR data and drawing insights from reports and trends
Experience owning vendor relationships and holding partners accountable
Clarity, empathy, and pragmatism to team leadership
Nice to Have:
Experience in HR teams
Knowledge of European employment laws
Experience with HR tools like HiBob, CultureAmp and Ashby
