As a Risk Officer, you will focus on supporting control implementation, continuous monitoring and periodic risk reporting. In your day to day in the Risk Domain, you will enable your colleagues to manage risk and controls, third parties and IT assets. You will be the interface between outside rules and regulations (like PCI-DSS, DORA, AI Act) and internal implementations.

The Risk Officer is a part of the Risk Domain, which covers a wide range of risk areas (Financial, Operational, IT, Security & Privacy). This role reports into the Operational Risk Lead and is based in our head-office in Amsterdam.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop risk reports for a wide variety of stakeholders, including key trends, metrics and controls and ensure proper follow-up by responsible risk owners;

  • Challenge and support teams to drive control automation and work on on risk related matters in order to strengthen Mollie’s foundation while enabling growth plans;

  • Monitor and improve the implementation of Mollie’s Risk Appetite Framework, and support the business domains to the next level in terms of maturity;

  • Work with business stakeholders to regularly perform risk assessments and provide advice on risk mitigation strategies;

  • Advocate the importance of risk awareness amongst your colleagues and in fostering a culture that enables the company to be commercially successful, while remaining compliant and in control.

What you’ll bring:

  • 2-4 years of relevant working experience;

  • Experience or affinity with IT (Risk)

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to communicate the relevance of risk decisions internally and externally to stakeholders;

  • Inquisitive and analytical mind with an eye for detail; the result of your work is characterised as considered and accurate;

  • Experience in a regulated environment, ideally the financial services industry or e-commerce, is preferred. Also familiarity with internal controls and IT control frameworks is a plus.
