Your opportunity
As Business Development Manager - Omnichannel your role will be to add new customers to Mollie's portfolio. This opportunity will strongly influence Mollie’s new journey into the omnichannel space, offering online and offline payments. Working independently to find them and take them from first contact through to closing & onboarding. You’ll manage faster mid-market deals up to complex sales cycles including RFPs, dealing with extensive, senior stakeholder groups, international sales across markets, and sophisticated negotiations. What you'll be doing

  • Act as the expert on omnichannel payments in the broader sales team, sharing knowledge of the market

  • Find, contact, and visit potential new customers. You will have full responsibility for taking them from first contact through to live customer

  • Manage faster mid-market deals up to complex sales cycles including RFPs, dealing with extensive, senior stakeholder groups, international sales across markets, and sophisticated negotiations

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate the onboarding + integration of new customers to ensure successful go-live then handover to Customer Success even for larger and more complex customers.

  • Input into strategic considerations (e.g. pricing strategies + product development) and drive change initiatives

  • Act as a payments thought leader within Mollie and the external market, proactively identifying and translating industry-wide and sector-specific impacts to clients

  • You will be part of a small team focused on solving clearly defined problem spaces

What you'll bring

  • Fluent in Dutch and English

  • 3+ years of work experience in Partnerships and/or Business Development in a POS company, preferably focusing on (product) integrations

  • Significant knowledge of the POS ecosystem, preferably in multiple regions in Europe

  • Not afraid to pick up the phone, kick in doors, and think outside the box

  • Eagerness to hop in one of our pool cars to see your prospect or visit an event

  • Experience working with complex sales processes and RFPs

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience independently working with C-level and senior management teams

  • Track record of hitting & exceeding commercial targets

  • You are an enthusiastic and passionate self-starter, unafraid to challenge the status quo and look at things from a different perspective

  • Strong team player and excellent collaborator

  • You are an excellent communicator & strong relationship builder, with well-honed negotiation skills

  • Experience using Salesforce, sales engagement tools, sequences, etc.
