About the Role

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Hinge Health, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our digital health platform. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to design, build, and maintain robust infrastructure and automation solutions that support our mission to deliver outstanding member experiences and improved health outcomes. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where your expertise will directly influence the stability and growth of our core services, enabling Hinge Health to scale efficiently and securely.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, innovative team that values operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a culture of learning. Your work will be essential in driving the evolution of our platform, supporting rapid product development, and ensuring our systems meet the highest standards of reliability and security.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Design and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure in cloud environments.

  • Build automation for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
    Collaborate with engineering/product teams on CI/CD, observability, and incident response.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system performance and reliability issues.

  • Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and config management practices.

  • Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of learning and improvement.

  • Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-incident reviews.

  • Ensure security best practices and compliance across infrastructure operations.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to meet business and regulatory goals.

  • Evaluate and implement tools to improve reliability and developer productivity.

  • Document systems, processes, and procedures for transparency and knowledge sharing.

  • Lead capacity planning and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Track and improve key reliability and performance metrics.

  • Influence architectural decisions with a focus on operational excellence.

Hinge Health Hybrid Model

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days/week.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps or related roles.

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS is preferred) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi).

  • Experience with logging and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, NewRelic etc).

  • Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design, usage and implementation (ex: GitHub Actions, Gitlab, Jenkins etc).

  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash etc).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced technology or healthcare environment

  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response best practices.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead technical teams.

  • Deep knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2).
