  • Define and evolve Build & Release best practices by working with SRE and educating the other stakeholder teams
  • Leadership​: Ensure a culture that values technical excellence together with support and compassion for individuals
  • Reduce time from PR to production for software deployments by optimizing workflows and CI pipelines
  • Instrument pipelines with observability tooling to quantify their value and provide feedback loop for improvement
  • Root cause analysis of failures in our services and perform troubleshooting during incidents in production
  • Manage key deliverables and mentors less senior team members


  • 5+ years of operating cloud services in production, 2+ in software engineering
  • Established expertise in developing and deploying CI/CD processes for multiple service teams
  • Strong working knowledge with large scale production systems and technologies, including load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, and/or configuration management
  • Demonstrated expertise in GitHub Workflows and Actions, AWS EKS or other managed Kubernetes, AWS RD, or other cloud database experience, and Terraform in an AWS environment
  • Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
  • Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Solid to expert level *nix shell scripting skills
  • Experience with build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience
  • Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
  • Proficiency with log analysis using tools such as log parsers and modern log analysis systems
  • Experience operating in a highly secure environment
  • Good understanding of secure development practices that conform to various regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in C.S. or equivalent experience


  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Knowledge of python and shell scripting
  • Experience operating typescript or ruby services in a cloud environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
