Figma is growing our team of passionate people on a mission to make design accessible to all. Born on the Web, Figma helps entire product teams brainstorm, design and build better products — from start to finish. Whether it’s consolidating tools, simplifying workflows, or collaborating across teams and time zones, Figma makes the design process faster, more efficient, and fun while keeping everyone on the same page. From great products to long-lasting companies, we believe that nothing great is made alone—come make with us!

We are seeking a talented Senior Systems Engineer with extensive experience and expertise in the MuleSoft platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing integrations between various SaaS providers, including NetSuite, Salesforce, and others. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability across our organization's applications and platforms.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to connect different SaaS providers, including NetSuite, Salesforce, and other third-party systems
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, and business stakeholders, to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Build and maintain integrations by configuring MuleSoft connectors, APIs, and custom components to facilitate data synchronization, real-time updates, and system interactions
  • Perform thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of integration processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability of the overall solution
  • Monitor and support integration processes in production environments, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and maximize system performance
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data mappings, and integration workflows
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and advancements in integration technologies, specifically focusing on MuleSoft, to drive innovation and continuous improvement

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Systems Engineer or Integration Engineer position with a strong focus on MuleSoft development and integration projects
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting integrations between SaaS providers, such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and other popular CRM, ERP, or HR systems
  • Proficient in working with MuleSoft connectors, transformations, and message routing techniques
  • Demonstrate understanding of API design principles, RESTful architecture, and web services (SOAP, XML, JSON)
  • Experience problem-solving independently with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues
  • Experience building relationships and communicating with stakeholders across all levels and functions
  • Proven track record in keeping up with emerging technologies and industry trends

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • MuleSoft certifications (e.g MuleSoft Certified Developer, MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect)
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
