The Variable Compensation Administrator works under the supervision of the Director of Variable Compensation and is accountable for the administration of Sales, Customer Success, and Business Development compensation plans. The Variable Compensation Administrator will collaborate closely with the Revenue Operations team to accurately manage compensation plans across all GTM teams. Additionally, you will partner with key stakeholders across the organization to build and implement scalable processes that enable Drata's GTM teams to achieve business objectives. You'll leverage your analytical and technical expertise to drive data-driven decisions and operational excellence.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the monthly/quarterly variable process for the Sales, Customer Success and Business Development teams, understanding and applying the commission plan consistently, ensuring commission calculations comply with the plan, and managing exception requests versus policy.
  • Interface with Sales, Customer Success, Operations and Finance leadership to ensure transactional data is complete/accurate prior to commission processing.
  • Generate standard and ad hoc reporting and analysis on commission payments and plan effectiveness.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor escalation processes for compensation related inquiries
  • Serves as a dynamic team player who can function as a technical leader as well as a strong business analyst and advisor.
  • Partner with stakeholders to implement initiatives aligned with Sales and broader company objectives
  • Drive process improvements through analysis and continuous refinement
  • Prioritize high impact activities based on problem statements and success metrics
  • What-if Analysis on Commissions and proposals from GTM teams

What you'll bring:

  • BS/BA in Business, Finance or related field
  • 4+ Years of Variable Compensation plan management.
  • 2+ years of progressive Sales Operations experience, preferably within an Enterprise SaaS organization
  • Xactly or other Incent Comp Management tool experience preferred.
  • Salesforce.com CRM experience preferred.
  • Experience handling confidential information discreetly and professionally.
  • Excellent organization skills and proven track record of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment required.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, specifically with extracting, formatting, validating and analyzing complex data sets.
  • Must be able to communicate complex and/or technical information clearly and concisely to all levels within the organization, using tact, common courtesy, persuasion and discretion.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to addressing challenges
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics, incentive structures, and commission calculations.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and senior leadership.
  • Demonstrates ability to anticipate impact and take initiative beyond direct responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of working with all levels of end users and stakeholders.
  • Reliable team player with a strong attention to detail.

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and stock, typically in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The applicable salary range for each US-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers based on the cost of labor for that geographic area. The expected salary ranges for this role are below, subject to change.

Tier 1: $132,600 - $163,800

Tier 2: $119,300 - $147,400

Tier 3: $106,100 - $131,000
