Drata is hiring for a Creative Director. This person will be a key member of the marketing team at a fast-growing, Series C B2B SaaS startup. The Creative Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our brand vision across various channels. As a member of the marketing team, they will lead the creative direction, ensuring consistency, innovation, and effectiveness in all visual and brand communication efforts. They will stand for the creative vision and serve as the spark for all creative campaign efforts. And they will lead a culture of creativity and tastemaking within the marketing team and throughout the company.

We’re looking for someone who can lead and work cross-functionally to drive the execution of our brand and lead our campaign creative efforts. You will join the growing Brand and Communications team and lead a team of in-house and freelance resources to build a leading brand in design, copy, and conceptual thinking.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute innovative and compelling creative strategies that align with Drata's brand identity and business objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of designers, freelancers, and other creative professionals to deliver high-quality, on-brand creative assets.
  • Lead by example by providing constructive feedback and in-the-weeds design support as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing, product, sales, events, and executive teams to understand business goals, target audience insights, and market trends.
  • Oversee the creation of a wide range of creative assets, including but not limited to: digital campaigns, website design, branding materials, presentations, videos, event assets, and media assets.
  • Ensure all creative work adheres to brand guidelines and effectively communicates key messages.
  • Advocate for design thinking, solutions and consistency for the brand design systems
  • Elevate the quality of design craft and thinking
  • Stay updated on creative industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance Drata's creative output and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage the creative production process from concept to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to highest standards. Making sure that the idea and aesthetic come through on both ends of the production timeline.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedback to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Drata, representing our values and mission both internally and externally.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 12 years of creative design
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience managing creative teams and freelancers
  • A portfolio of creative samples that demonstrate art direction excellence
  • Agency and B2B tech experience preferred
  • Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite required. Video editing, 3D design preferred.

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and equity. The applicable salary range for each US-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers based on the cost of labor for that geographic area. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below.

Tier 1: $191,250 - $236,250

Tier 2: $172,125 - $212,625

Tier 3: $153,000 - $189,000

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s leveling and compensation – including a candidate’s professional background and experience. What tier you are aligned to is non-negotiable and is solely dependent on where you permanently reside. These ranges and tier alignments may be modified in the future and final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above.
