Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About the Role:

The Staff Enterprise Technology Administrator, Workday is a senior individual contributor role embedded within Crusoe's Enterprise Technology (IT) organization. This role owns the Workday platform end-to-end — from tenant architecture and security design through ongoing functional administration, integrations, and continuous improvement — in close partnership with People Operations, Finance, and external implementation partners.

This is not a support function. This is a platform ownership role. The Staff ET Administrator will be the internal authority on Workday at Crusoe, setting the configuration strategy, owning the data model, and ensuring the system scales reliably as the company grows. The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on Workday expertise across multiple functional domains, a systems thinker's approach to data governance and integrations, and the organizational credibility to drive cross-functional alignment without formal authority.

You will join at a critical moment — supporting an active Workday HCM implementation and carrying it through go-live and into a mature, well-governed steady state.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Own the Workday tenant configuration strategy across production, sandbox, and implementation tenants — including bi-annual release planning, regression testing, and long-term architectural decisions for all modules.
  • Serve as Crusoe's primary Workday subject matter authority and decision-maker on configuration standards, design patterns, and system governance.
  • Own end-to-end functional administration across Workday modules, including Talent & Performance, Learning, Payroll, and Absence & Time Tracking.
  • Establish and maintain a configuration change management process, including documentation standards, peer review, rollback procedures, and a centralized audit trail.
  • Design and maintain Workday security role assignments, domain security policies, and business process security — enforcing segregation of duties and least-privilege access.
  • Partner with IT Security and Internal Audit to support SOC 2 and internal control requirements related to Workday access and configuration changes.
  • Own data quality governance: define master data standards, conduct periodic audits, and resolve data integrity issues upstream.
  • Manage and support integrations with downstream systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, benefits carriers, identity providers, Ashby, Shareworks) — proactively monitoring health, resolving failures, and maintaining runbooks.
  • Build and maintain Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite, and BIRT) and dashboards to support HR, Finance, and People Analytics; partner with People Analytics to ensure consistent metric definitions.
  • Serve as ET-side technical lead for the active Workday HCM implementation — owning workbook configuration, coordinating with the implementation partner, and driving decisions to resolution.
  • Execute system testing (unit, integration, end-to-end, and UAT) and manage defect triage; develop go-live readiness criteria and cutover plans in collaboration with People Operations and Finance.
  • Develop and maintain a Workday platform product roadmap, prioritized in collaboration with People Operations and ET leadership; proactively identify process gaps, configuration inefficiencies, and feature adoption opportunities.
  • Build scalable workflows and automations that reduce manual effort and improve the employee and manager experience as Crusoe grows globally.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for People Operations, Finance, Legal, and business leadership on all Workday matters — translating technical complexity into clear operational guidance.
  • Create and maintain end-user documentation, administrator playbooks, and SOPs; provide day-to-day support to the People team through ticket triage and how-to guidance.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Required
    • 8+ years of hands-on experience supporting HRIS/People Technology programs, with significant depth in Workday across multiple functional domains.
    • Demonstrated experience as a Workday tenant owner or primary system administrator — not just a functional analyst — with accountability for configuration decisions, security design, and integration management.
    • Strong command of Workday security: domain security policies, business process security, security groups, and role-based access control.
    • Hands-on experience building Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite) and dashboards, including calculated fields.
    • Experience managing Workday EIBs and Integration monitoring — with a clear understanding of data mapping and troubleshooting.
    • Experience supporting or leading at least 3 full Workday implementation lifecycle (requirements through go-live and post-production).
    • Exceptional cross-functional communication skills: able to translate system complexity to non-technical stakeholders and to hold their ground on configuration standards when challenged.
    • Comfort operating as a solo system authority — this role does not inherit a large team of Workday admins; it requires self-direction and deep individual expertise.

Preferred

  • Workday Pro certification in one or more functional areas (HCM, Talent, Learning, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Reporting, Time Tracking, Payroll).
  • Experience with Workday Reporting and Dashboards.
  • Familiarity with adjacent systems in Crusoe's stack: Sage Intacct, Rippling, ADP Workforce Now, Coupa, or similar.
  • Experience with HRIS data governance in a SOC 2 or similarly regulated environment.
  • Exposure to Workato, MuleSoft, or other iPaaS platforms for integration design.
  • Experience scaling People Technology infrastructure at a high-growth company (500–2,000+ employee range).
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, HR, Business, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation

  • Paid time off & paid holidays
  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance
  • Employer contributions to HSA account
  • Paid parental leave
  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability
