Strategic Initiatives

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About This Role:

As Business Development, Technical Partner, you will serve as the end-to-end dealmaker at the intersection of datacenter construction, infrastructure finance, and AI compute demand. This is not a traditional sales role — you are the single owner of complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities spanning site selection, build financing, and capacity commercialization. By building deep relationships with datacenter developers, colocation operators, financial partners, and government stakeholders, you will architect deals that directly shape Crusoe's physical infrastructure footprint and long-term commercial trajectory.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on knowledge of how datacenters are built and financed — power procurement, shell construction, critical systems fit-out — with the financial structuring fluency of a leading investment bank or infrastructure-focused private equity firm. You understand the full development lifecycle, from greenfield site evaluation through energization, and know how to structure the commercial and financial frameworks that make large-scale builds viable.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Datacenter Development & Co-location Sourcing: Lead the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of datacenter opportunities — both ground-up builds and colocation arrangements. Assess sites across key technical dimensions: power availability and utility interconnection timelines, critical load capacity, cooling infrastructure, fiber access, and physical security. Own key deal metrics including all-in cost per MW, construction schedules, and long-term capacity optionality.

  • Financial Structuring & Deal Architecture: Structure complex agreements with datacenter developers and colocation partners, including backstop mechanisms, capacity reservation frameworks, and construction-phase financing arrangements.

  • Business Development & Customer Relationships: Build and own a portfolio of enterprise customer relationships across the AI developer ecosystem. Translate customer compute requirements — cluster scale, networking topology, power density per rack — into site-level specifications that inform development decisions. Partner closely with Account Executives to drive opportunities from origination through close.

  • Government & Regulatory Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with Israeli government stakeholders.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Datacenter Development Expertise: Direct experience with the technical and commercial dimensions of datacenter builds — including site due diligence, power procurement, utility negotiations, critical systems design (UPS, cooling, generators), and construction milestone management. Ability to evaluate a site's feasibility and model its economics from first principles.

  • Financial Orientation & Structuring Experience: A background at a leading investment bank, infrastructure-focused private equity firm, or project finance institution. Demonstrated ability to structure and negotiate complex financial arrangements, including capacity backstops, long-term offtake agreements, construction financing, and sale-leaseback structures.

  • Government & Public Sector Fluency: Established relationships or demonstrated experience engaging with Israeli government institutions, defense-adjacent agencies, or regional regulatory bodies. Comfort navigating formal procurement frameworks and policy environments.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: The ability to drive progress across internal teams — infrastructure, legal, finance, engineering — without direct authority, maintaining momentum on complex deals with long development timelines and many moving parts.

  • Communication & Presence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to operate credibly across construction engineers, financial partners, C-suite executives, and government officials in the same week.

Bonus Points:

  • Power & Energy Infrastructure: Experience with power purchase agreements, utility interconnection processes, substation construction, or energy-driven infrastructure financing.

  • Regional Network: Existing relationships within the Israeli tech, government, or infrastructure ecosystem.

  • AI Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with GPU compute density requirements, high-performance networking, or managed inference workloads sufficient to translate customer needs into build specifications.

  • Extended Experience: 8+ years navigating the intersection of infrastructure development, finance, and enterprise commercial relationships.

  • Consulting Background: Experience at a top-tier infrastructure, project finance, or strategy advisory firm is highly valued.
