Join the team redefining how the world experiences design
Merhaba, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, bonjour, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
While we support flexible ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on those that can be based in Istanbul in a hybrid capacity, so we can keep collaboration flowing with the local team. We have a office in Levent at Kolektif House.
This is a full-time contingent worker opportunity for a 12-month engagement.
About the team
Canva's International Supergroup brings together marketers, strategists and growth leaders focused on expanding Canva's presence in key global markets.
Within the EMEA Expansion Group, the Türkiye team works across Marketing, Growth, Product, Content, Sales and Localisation to help Canva become a truly local brand — from nationwide campaigns through to meaningful connections with educators, creators and the creative economy.
Community is already one of Canva's strongest assets in Türkiye. In this role, you'll be right at the centre of helping it thrive.
What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva's Türkiye Community Manager, you'll own the health, engagement, and growth of our communities in Türkiye: Educators, Creators, and — as our newest frontier — SMBs.
You'll keep our established Educator and Creator communities deeply engaged, energised, and advocating for Canva, while continuously bringing in the right new members. You'll onboard new Creators and Canvassadors in a targeted way, aligned to Türkiye's strategic priorities — whether that's closing tr-TR content gaps, supporting campaign moments, or strengthening advocacy in key audiences. And you'll launch our SMB community from the ground up: defining its strategy, building its first rituals and channels, and turning Türkiye's small business owners into an active, connected Canva community.
This is a pure community marketing role, and we're looking for genuine community management expertise: someone who has run large, active communities at scale, knows how to design engagement rituals that last, and can read community health in both the data and the room.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Owning community programs. Lead the day-to-day running and longer-term engagement of Canva's Educator and Creator communities in Türkiye, helping established member bases stay active, valued and connected.
- Growing our Creator pipeline. Identify, recruit and onboard Creators aligned with Türkiye's content priorities, helping ensure locally produced content is culturally relevant and on-brand.
- Growing our Canvassador community. Bring new advocates into the program, equip them to deliver local activations and create an ongoing sense of belonging and motivation.
- Building our SMB community. Help launch the community from the ground up, establishing its strategy, channels and rituals and welcoming its first cohort of small business owners.
- Creating engaging community experiences. Develop design challenges, tutorials, webinars, community content, live events and member spotlights that give people reasons to keep participating.
- Bringing communities together online and offline. Plan and deliver meetups, workshops, webinars and community moments at relevant events across Türkiye.
- Understanding community health. Track engagement, activity, retention and content performance, using insights to continuously improve community programs.
- Working across Canva. Partner with Türkiye's Country Manager, Marketing Lead, Education Growth Lead and Content Strategy Lead teams around campaigns, launches and market priorities.
- Being the voice of the community. Surface member feedback and local insights to Canva's product, content and localisation teams and identify cultural moments our communities can rally around.
You're probably a match if
- Deep community management expertise. 4+ years managing large, active communities, with a proven track record across the full lifecycle — launching new communities and sustaining engagement at scale over the long run.
- Experience with creative and/or educator communities. You've worked with creators, designers, educators, or similar passionate audiences, and you understand what motivates volunteer advocates and contributors.
- A natural connector who reads the room. High empathy, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to excite and unite a community around new ideas — online and in person. Confident hosting webinars, workshops, and live events.
- Strategic onboarding mindset. You recruit and onboard new members deliberately — tied to content gaps, campaign needs, and market priorities — rather than growth for growth's sake.
- Analytical and structured. Comfortable with community and content data; you turn engagement metrics into program improvements and report clearly against KPIs.
- Hands-on with community tools. Experienced with community platforms (Facebook Groups, Discord, Circle or similar) and marketing/productivity tools (Google Workspace, Monday, HubSpot or equivalents).
- A clear and confident communicator. Fluent in written and spoken Turkish and English, with an inclusive tone and strong writing skills.
- Values aligned. Genuinely excited by Canva's mission, a real user and lover of the product, and energised by helping community members succeed.
