Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we're focusing on Manila so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.

This role is a 6-month engagement, paid on a per-output model. It would suit someone with availability of approximately 30–40 hours per week.

Job Description

What you'd be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. This role is structured around six key deliverables across the engagement:

  • Build and launch an editorial operations tracker in Monday, covering the full Newsroom and podcast pipeline — deadlines, shoots, contributor deliverables, and approvals
  • Own day-to-day CMS publishing, applying Canva's metadata, tagging, alt text, and formatting checklists across every live piece
  • Manage the editorial calendar and build a tracking system for the leadership social content program — shoot schedules, video editor turnaround, and content status
  • Design and launch a structured story intake system for GTM, product, and marketing teams, routing submissions into the shared tracker and delivering a weekly triage digest
  • Extend the tracker to cover a season of the Prompted podcast — running scheduling, contributor coordination, and internal comms, and coordinating cross-team dependencies
  • Build a performance reporting dashboard pulling Newsroom, podcast, and leadership social metrics into one view, and document SOPs and recommendations for the next 6–12 months

You're probably a match if

  • You're a task-tracking whizz who's energised by bringing order to fast-moving, high-profile programs
  • You've got CMS experience, ideally publishing on an editorial or news-style site
  • You're comfortable coordinating shoots — booking exec time, liaising with video editors, and tracking turnaround
  • You're persistent and diplomatic at chasing approvals across multiple busy stakeholders
  • You've got working knowledge of SEO/AEO basics — metadata, alt text, tagging
  • You stay calm under pressure, managing fast-moving news cycles and shifting schedules
