Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney, with a campus in Melbourne, this role is based in Sydney. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals, while collaborating closely with global teams across time zones.
What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that’s all part of the fun. This role will give you the flavour of the type of things you’ll be working on when you start - but it will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Owning the end-to-end craft of motion assets - video, transitions, characters, scenes, and storytelling sequences - that ship directly into Canva's content ecosystem
- Developing narrative-driven motion content that sets the creative bar for how millions of users experience animation in Canva
- Partnering with template designers and product teams to shape how motion features are demonstrated and adopted at scale
- Contributing to creative reviews, content strategy, and experimentation cycles that influence the direction of Canva's motion library
- Staying ahead of animation trends, editing styles, and visual storytelling techniques and bringing that thinking into the work

Comfortable working across multiple styles
Excited to create assets that empower others to tell their stories
Inspired by the challenge of simplifying professional-level motion for everyday users
Curious about the evolving world of motion design, film language, and mixed-media visuals
Collaborative, autonomous, and comfortable working in fast-paced content production environments
About the team
The Content Studio team within the Global Content & Discovery supergroup is on a mission to empower the world to design. We create world-class templates and creative assets that inspire users, unlock new use cases, and showcase the best of Canva’s product capabilities.
We work at the intersection of culture, creativity, and product - partnering closely with teams across Video, Editing, AI, and Discovery to ensure Canva stays at the forefront of visual communication globally.
