B2B Growth Marketing Strategist - AU (12-month contract)
Canva
Job Description
Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.
Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time-consuming, and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia, but we engage our Contractors and Freelancers all over the world to help us meet our crazy big goals. As a Contractor or Freelancer at Canva, you can work remotely in the country listed in this job ad, meaning you have ultimate flexibility. Wherever works for you, works for us.
This is a 12-month, full-time contract role.
What you’d be doing in this role
We’re looking for a Growth Strategist to scale Canva Enterprise in key industry verticals aligned to our ICP. You’ll own go-to-market strategies that drive acquisition, expansion, and pipeline — working closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product to bring them to life.
This is a cross-functional role where you’ll align teams around strategy, turn insights into action, and run campaigns and experiments that deliver real business impact. You’ll build the strategy, execute it, and continually refine it based on what we learn — bringing structure to ambiguity and using data to guide decisions.
If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving complex growth problems, and can act as both a leader and an operator, this is your chance to make an impact inside a company with serious momentum.
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Growth Marketing Strategy: You’ll lead the development, prioritisation and execution of go-to-market strategies that scale Canva Enterprise within key verticals (s) - partnering closely with the B2B Verticals lead, Product Marketing, Sales, Content, and Product
- Tactical Execution: You’ll lead the delivery and optimisation of marketing tactics - you’ll translate growth strategies into clear briefs and work with leads across performance marketing, lifecycle, web, events, and other teams to activate your strategy
- Experimentation & Flywheels: You’ll design and run growth experiments, and identify opportunities to build scalable flywheels that drive acquisition, expansion and/or adoption
- Operational Excellence: You’ll help set up the right creative cadences, workflows, and resourcing needed to move fast and scale what works
- Measurement & Insights: You’ll define what success looks like - working with Data and Marketing Ops to build/iterate dashboards, and ensure insights inform iteration.
- Playbook Development: You’ll codify your learnings into repeatable frameworks that inform how Canva scales vertical marketing across industries
You're probably a match if
- You have experience in growth strategy or growth marketing roles, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
- You’ve owned go-to-market strategies for specific customer segments, ICPs, or verticals — and have a track record of delivering measurable impact.
- You understand a wide range of marketing levers and channels — from performance and lifecycle marketing to web and content — and know how they work together to drive scalable growth.
- You bring a sharp analytical mindset and feel confident diving into data, interpreting trends, understanding statistical significance, and collaborating with analysts to turn insights into action.
- You’re comfortable engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, and are skilled at influencing through collaboration and strategic communication.
- You think in systems, take ownership, stay persistent in the face of ambiguity, and sweat the details that drive results.
